My passion is to educate Brazilian and foreign people about Brazil politics.

I don’t like when people compare Bolsonaro with Trump. Bolsonaro is far different, but I agree that he doesn’t have a filter. That is what makes him loved and hated at the same time. Bolsonaro brought pride to Brazilians and put a stop on corruption among his ministries. All his ministers were selected by their knowledge. Before they were selected to pay favors to political parties. Most of the Lula’s and Dilma’s ministers were accused of corruption. Some went to prison.

The government-controlled companies and former presidents used to dump billions of dollars on TVs and newspapers ads. Bolsonaro stopped that, and now the news corporations hate him. Same thing happened to the banks. Last year, Bolsonaro introduced PIX, which is like Zelle, free bank transactions completed in seconds, 24/7. Bankers hate Bolsonaro. Consumers saved billions in bank charges.

Famous singers and actors who were millionaires used to receive large amounts of government money to finance their concerts and projects, taking away money that was supposed to finance small artists, who need just a little help to start. Bolsonaro fixed that. Famous artists hate him and daily, they post against Bolsonaro on their social media.

A few months ago, Bolsonaro waved 90% of the student loans for more than one million graduated students. Less corruption means that more money is left to be used on social projects.

Brazil was under the socialist parties for more than 40 years, and they have done very little to make the country safe and the economy growth. Everything in Brazil used to involve bribes and corruption. During the pandemic, socialists state governors bought thousands of ventilators from “liquor stores”, owned by their friends. Some machines were defective, others have never been delivered. They pocked most of the money.

The former president Lula, who was convicted of corruption during a 4-year due process and then, last year his conviction was thrown out by the same supreme court judges appointed by him. The court alleges that he should be prosecuted in Brasilia, and not in Curitiba, where he was convicted for more than 27 years in prison. It was a zip code matter.

Just to be clear, Bolsonaro never threatened to do anything against the LGBTQ community in Brazil. He often invites gays and lesbians to visit his house. There are several gays politicians who support Bolsonaro. In Brazil, gay marriage is legal. However, in my opinion gays are discriminated in Brazil because their social class and not by their sexual orientation.

Most of my friends and I are against what some of the LGBTQ community members do in Brazil, especially during PRIDE. They bring bad reputation to all of us, while carrying the PRIDE flag. They protest against Bolsonaro, performing the “water sports” and poop on Bolsonaro’s photo in public, during the parade. Some of them promote gay/sexual related materials to young kids in the elementary schools.

Usually the ‘leftists” in Brazil are the ones who promote hate. Bolsonaro never threatened to do anything against the LGBTQ community in Brazil. He often invites gays and lesbians to visit his house. There are several gays politicians who support Bolsonaro. In Brazil, gay marriage is legal by the way. However, in my opinion gays are discriminated in Brazil because their social class and not by their sexual orientation.

All this controversy started since a gay congressman from the Socialist Party (PSOL) spit on Bolsonaro’s face during a hearing in Congress and he has never been punished. In 2018 during the presidential campaign, this same congressman was named as the suspect for ordering a member of his socialist party to stab Bolsonaro, who almost died. Bolsonaro had to wear the colostomy bag for months and had multiple intestinal surgeries.

The accused congressman fled Brazil and has never been charged. The attacker got the best lawyers and all evidence, including his several cellular (4 or 5) have been locked by the order of the Supreme Court judges and their contents cannot been extracted. The attacker is current in a mental institution and his parole is up for review.

We support Bolsonaro because we think he is a strong leader. Even after the pandemic, the Brazil’s economy is growing, and more jobs have been created. Brazil GDP is much better than the G7 members (US/Europe).

Bolsonaro is building the entire railroad system in Brazil, to connect north to south, east to west. Airports, ports, and roads have been renovated to attract tourists and business. A state in the north (Amazon area) have been connected by road recently. Before cars and trucks had to use barges to cross between states borders. Still in the Amazon, there is a capital that is not connected to country electric grid. They get their electricity from Venezuela or using generators that burns oil.

In the arid northeastern states, Bolsonaro administration completed the construction of canals to bring the waters from San Francisco River to these underserved areas. Before these underdeveloped communities depended on pipe water trucks.

Different from Bolsonaro, Lula supports dictators around the world, like the Castro’s in Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua. Lula wants to unite all South American countries as one socialist block, like the old USRR.

My passion is to educate people about Brazil politics. 🙂
